Who makes good subwoofers for home theater?

Jarrod Darnall: Very high end stuff well out of my price range. I like the second design but 35 pound magnet 20 pound cabinet and rubber suspension. 750 watt that shoud shake the house. why not Klipsh Horns? and seperate Conrad Johnson amp.

Oda Mauson: Martin Login but they are VERY expensive.I'd get a Velodyne Subwoofer, or a Klipsch..

Porfirio Gartland: Polk Audio, Martin-Logan, Definitive Technology, NHT, JBL synthesis maybe even some imports like B&W and KEF M&K American made dosent always mean its good

Heidy Fujikake: KLIPSCH is the best hands down. JBL is primarily designed for the audiophile (music cd not movies) market Even their top of the line subs are still not theater grade. KLIPSCH is hands down the best and economical subwoofer as it is designed for and is used in more move theaters and DVD/Blu Ray mastering facilities....It was also the first speaker manufacture to meet the requirements for full THX, Dolby Digital and DTS standards befo! re any of the others.

Danyell Rowback: JBL, Martin Logan, Mcintosh, Krell and Paradigm just to name a few. Not the JBL you find in a retail store, this one you have to order through a high end retail store that carry the high end JBL home theater system, like the Everest. That goes for Krell and Mcintosh and Paradigm signature 8 series.
