What math is required to enter the computer networking field.?

The reason most colleges ask for high school math prerequisites is to determine your analytical thinking skills (an obvious requirement in the field).If you want to go to college, go and talk a recruiter, they can help you figure out what you'll need. Eva Lichlyter: Best way I can put it is, you mostly likely will end up with a two year degree by studying networking. Depending on where you go, you will need to take some kind of placement test. A Community College with basically assign basic math skill class or anything else you might be lacking. Once you have past those classes you can start your Computer Networking Curriculum.The curriculum itself would only require one or two college level math classes. So that would be College Algebra and Maybe Pre-Calculu! s or something easier. You are just required to take college level math classes for degree credits.
