Universal health care?

Sheree Hipwell: The cost will kill the country.

Ronnie Panas: Absolutely. The premise is that if everyone does not have something then no one should. Ruining health care will keep those evil insured people from have quality services. If no one has quality services then it is equitable and therefore fair.

Adan Stribble: Basically with universal health care three things are going to occur. First we are going to see either tremndous tax hikes or a special new tax to pay for the universal health care. Second, all of this extra tax money will have to be used to maiantain the insurance offered for free, which means that the government is not going to pay much to health care providers for services provided by those under this government provided insurance. As a result, the health care providers will have to hike up their fees, which will cause insurance and pharmaceutical companies to raise their rates for everyone who they are already insuring. Third, the quali! ty of health care that is provided by doctors and clinics will greatly diminish, because they will not be getting paid enough by the government or by people who will no longer be able to afford the higher cost insurance to properly care for those seeking medical attention....Show more

Voncile Slaubaugh: No, it will ruin us. I like the freedom of seeing the doctor that I choose and seeing him when I need him. That won't happen with universal health care. Long waits for medical care and having your doctor chosen for you are just two negatives of universal health care.

Stevie Goldey: If private health care is so well run, public health insurance should have no impact.

Jesusita Dykhoff: No. There is no free health insurance. It is paid for with insurance premiums or with tax dollars. No government can properly handle universal health care.

Erin Arron: How will their insurance be "ruined"?

Caroyln Ebach: How about no insurance companies period! .

Troy Staton: Of course. Just "spreading the wealth" a! bit...
