Gabriel Realmuto: Oh, it definitely pissed me off. If I ever had an inkling to vote for McCain, it's gone now.
Whitley Leopold: Be glad Cindy wasn't around to twirl his hair.
Galen Gowers: A little more info on what you're talking about, please.
Christy Tirabassi: YOU were apparently the only one who saw it. I watched the debate and saw nothing insulting...and I am female.
Tana Dumoulin: link please. Can't answer if we don't know what you're talking about. Thanks
Julienne Poplawski: he was right....he was talking about women and doctors lying about a womans health so the woman can abort a baby (i dont know what words you heard but your like the others...wanting to act like he doesnt care about womens health...they should go back into the back allies and do them again... you have the "choice" to keep your legs closed or take birth control.....there are exceptions when it comes to rape and incest!!!
Azzie Trembly: Yeah, it did piss me ! off. He suggested that "women's health" or making exceptions for women's health was an "extreme pro-abortion position." This is just misrepresenting the pro-choice movement, which does not want women to die and does not force women to have abortions (in the way that the anti-choicers in fact WOULD force all women to NOT have abortions) but believes the choice should be available, if only for medical reasons. It would be extremely medically stupid to ban abortion.McCain's just pandering to the loony religious right. He never used to have such a wingnut anti-choice position. We'll see what happens with the referendum in South Dakota. Hopefully it will be soundly rejected like the last one for the stupidity that it is.__________"they should go back into the back allies and do them again... you have the "choice" to keep your legs closed or take birth control": Are you a total misogynist? I'm sorry, but the life of an unthinking, unfeeling fetus that does not even know it's aliv! e is NOT worth more than the life of a full-grown woman. Women! suffer and hemorrhage to death from botched abortions; fetuses do not suffer and hemorrhage to death from being aborted. And most organizations that are against abortion are ALSO against birth control, which makes no sense, but the anti-choicers don't seem to mind. And only someone who is totally ignorant would want to place the onus of birth control totally on the woman. Sorry, but women don't impregnate themselves; they're not the only ones having sex. Men, if they think they need to have sex so badly and pressure women into it, can and should take as much responsibility for not making babies as women....Show more
Lou Rought: John McCain voiced several opinions about women that angered me. I personally do not believe in abortion, however I do believe that a woman should have that right, There are so many women that have and abuse even torture children they did not want, and some that push out baby after baby only to collect welfare, that they don't spend on the chi! ldren. Also in cases of rape or incest. What if your wife was told if she had the baby she would die, that you had to choose between your wife and the baby, this would qualify as a late term abortion, which John McCain would like to ban, but where's the exceptions? He also angered me with his statement , not once, but twice, That Sarah Palin understood having an autistic child better than anyone, Now that's a pretty broad statement. How about all the middle class mothers that have handicapped children, that unlike Sarah Palin, do not have enough money to provide that child with the special ed and medical treatments vital to their children's advancement? Or cannot even go to work, let alone run around campaigning and buying 150,000 in new clothes, because they cannot afford the specialized baby sitter's a handicapped child often requires? Am I saying Sarah Palin does not understand, NO, I am sure she is a good mother, However to make the statement that (She knows better tha! n anyone) is a direct slap in the face of all the other mothers of spec! ial needs children....Show more
Rebeca Mckin: I wasn't paying to much attention to him but I did notice during that time that CNN has a monitor & you could see that women were absolutely not pleased with whatever he was saying...If you ever watch debates on CNN they show a line with a color such as red or women & green of rmen or a color for the party. You can tell if they like what is being said or dislike it.
