Madie Strople: Find better more reliable references... this is not a new thing. Or alternatively get written references done by those people that don't like to answer the phone, make copies and give them to employers when they request them.
Johnny Sirko: Be sure to ask a reference BEFORE it is used because it just might be. If you are totally lost start with your parents and go from there. I'm serious.
