Hunter Beech: it just means people who can vouch for your working abilities
August Hubbard: A reference is someone who knows you well and can discuss your job related qualifications and skills with a potential employer. Many employers will want a list of your references, including addresses and phone numbers. Some employers may request letters of recommendation from your references.Since you are in school and don't have work experience I would suggest using one of your teachers as a professional reference. A teacher in your class can attest to your knowledge base and study habits....Show more
Ronny Nowzari: professional references are usually contacts you have that arent immediate family members. It could also mean previous job experience. Usually if you have to question something on an application you are better off leaving it blank
Anibal Scheid: ask a teacher if you can use his or her name as a reference..
Boris Hadsall: I don't think you are o! ld enough to get a work permit yet, are you? idk, maybe you are...anyway, they are asking for references who could vouch for things like your work ethic and experience. Since this is your first job you could use someone you babysat for, someone you helped with chores around their house or a parent of a friend or teacher If you have any, you can list volunteer work as a "previous job" as long as you indicate it was volunteer...Show more
Devon Kalberer: By professional reference they are hoping to get references to current/old employers and possibly co-workers. It can also mean people who run or manage businesses. If you have no work experience use a couple teachers if you can, use friends who work. Or use adults you know well that have good jobs. Good luck!
